The iPhone launch in France by Orange only lacked one thing: Visual Voicemail support. But in under a week since the handset’s launch, Visual Voicemal is now wotkinng in France.

Right now, only users in Metropolitan areas are reporing success in accessing the service even though of has been available since launch day (November 29th).

The reason for the carrier specific feature not being ready for prime time is due to time constraints in implementing the network capabilities for Visual Voicemail. Apple had made the decision of who would carry the iPhone in France not too long ago leaving Orange to scramble in adding Visial Voicemail support.
